UKRAINE

HOW IT ALL STARTED

In the early morning hours of February 24, 2022, Ukraine woke up to the sound of explosions. The Russian army had launched a large-scale invasion, launching massive artillery and missile attacks across the country. In just the first few days, more than 100,000 Ukrainians fled the country for their lives, a number that has grown into millions of people who have become refugees around the world as a result of Russian aggression. In the midst of this chaos, families have been torn apart and normal ways of life have been irrevocably changed.

On April 8, Kramatorsk's railway station came under rocket attack, killing 58 people, including 5 children, and injuring 109. During the evacuation of people, a cluster munition, which is banned internationally, was used.
